One of the shelters along the Appalachian Trail. This was along the trail to Mt Rogers VA. Many of the state highpoints out East are along the AT.

There is no view whatsoever from Mt Rogers, the HP of VA. Only the trees.
|
On most mornings I was greeted by fog in the low lying areas.
|
On a few occasions the highpoint was a popular destination and I was able to find a photographer for the requisite picture.
