Information: IN 1977 Kawasaki introduced the KZ1000, the fastest production bike ever to hit the street. I bought my LTD sight unseen...all I had seen was a poster on the wall of the local Kawasaki shop in Reno, Nevada. Only eight of these beauties were to be sold in Northern Nevada and I was able to snag the very last one to be sold! I have only seen one other 1977 KZ1000-LTD on the street since then. Not only was it the nicest looking bike on the street but it was by far the fastest. I blew away standard KZ1000''s like they weren''t even there and then in 1978 my roomate bought the new Suzuki 1000 thinking he would have the fastest bike. This was not to be; after racing three times in a row and getting soundly whooped, by three to four bike lengths each time, he finally conceded. I''m still riding this awesome motorcycle and getting the same type of thrills that I got with it 31 years ago!
