Sold: Jun 2007
Information: Yes, it does LOOK like a Katana. Fitted inside this 1989 GSX-F frame is a 1987 GSX-R 750 engine, complete with Dyna 2000 ignition going to twin Dyna 32,000 volt coils. The front brake lines are steel-braided, and the canary yellow paint started out as Ford Chrome Yellow (aka 1998 Mustang Yellow) but we had the indigo pigment replaced with Canary. The flush-mount signals are good for wind reduction, and yes, that´s a Corbin saddle with backrest. Many thanks to Dan Roark, Lynn Beck, Cam and the crew at Advantage Racing in Columbus, Georgia. They wouldn´t let me come to Germany without leathers, and they took the time to teach me restoration, riding skills, and the finer art of dealing with people plagued motorcycle problems. May 2003 - I sold this bike for my new 2003 FLHTI. Dec 2006 - The guy I sold this bike to contacted me and said he was buying a new bike. He offered to sell this one back to me, and I jumped on it (literally and figuratively). I built this bike, I know it from the ground up, and I actually missed it. It''s mine all over again. It still rides like I remember, and is an awesome fun-bike. Jun 2007 - As much as I liked this bike, and as much time/effort/energy I devoted to it''s build and rebuild; I had to let it go. One of the guys I work with decided he wanted it more than I did, so I sold it to him with many words of caution. I''m sure he''ll enjoy it if he can master it.
