1959 BMW R 50
Photos: 6
Purchased: Oct 2003
Info: The R50 is a 500cc boxer twin with an "Earles fork" front suspension, meaning that it has a front swing arm and two automotive style shocks up front. Mine is painted in a BMW color known as "Dover White". The bike is very fun to ride, and I recently did a 3 day 1000 mile vintage tour on it and was very comfortable, despite some of the roads being dirt. It cruises very comfortab

2002 Aprilia RSV 1000 Mille
Photos: 2
Purchased: Mar 2002
Sold: Jan 2003
Info: Riding this bike was like watching a movie of someone else riding. It just wasnīt fun on the street. It may have been fun on a track, but I never made it to a track day to find out. I like my slower, more flawed bikes better - they need me. The RSV does fine on itīs own... :-)

Purchased: Mar 2003
Sold: Jun 2005
Info: Now this is fun. Big enough and fast enough, but not so powerful that you have to watch yourself constantly. A great bike and darn near unheard of in the US.

Purchased: Apr 2004
Sold: Feb 2008
Info: " The CBR encompasses two almost mutually exclusive personalities. It spits out 111 horsepower at the rear wheel, yet it starts easily and motors around town with smooth, carlike civility. Thereīs little the CBR canīt do, and do very well. ...the CBR powerplant feels wonderful: smooth, refined, tight, and always willing, whether in town or on the superslab. ...unless you rev the engine har
