Info: 210cc Malossi big bore kit, cut crank, lightweight chromed Go-Fast expansion chamber, front and rear Bitubo gas shocks, lowered seat, front Grimeca disk brake. 3500 original miles, engine work by Eric Larsen, more mods by Barry Gwin of the SF Scooter Centre.
1959 BMW R 50

Photos: 6
Purchased: Oct 2003
Info: The R50 is a 500cc boxer twin with an "Earles fork" front suspension, meaning that it has a front swing arm and two automotive style shocks up front. Mine is painted in a BMW color known as "Dover White". The bike is very fun to ride, and I recently did a 3 day 1000 mile vintage tour on it and was very comfortable, despite some of the roads being dirt. It cruises very comfortab
1954 Gilera 150 Sport

Photos: 2
Purchased: Feb 2005
Info: I have ridden this bike in 3 consecutive Giro dīCalifornia events; 2005, 2006, and 2007. I wrung itīs neck at full throttle for 140 miles a day for two days at each event, with not one problem. Not bad for a 50+ year old bike!

1999 Buell M2

Purchased: Dec 1998
Sold: Mar 2002
Info: Stock except for Vance & Hines exhaust & Dynojet kit.
2002 Aprilia RSV 1000 Mille

Photos: 2
Purchased: Mar 2002
Sold: Jan 2003
Info: Riding this bike was like watching a movie of someone else riding. It just wasnīt fun on the street. It may have been fun on a track, but I never made it to a track day to find out. I like my slower, more flawed bikes better - they need me. The RSV does fine on itīs own... :-)
1998 Laverda 668 Ghost Strike

Photos: 4
Purchased: Mar 2003
Sold: Jun 2005
Info: Now this is fun. Big enough and fast enough, but not so powerful that you have to watch yourself constantly. A great bike and darn near unheard of in the US.
1974 Suzuki T 500

Photos: 2
Purchased: Mar 2003
Sold: May 2005
Info: Less than 15k miles, new tires, carb kits, exhaust donuts, professional front brake work by Vintage Brake, new head and cylinder gaskets, lots of new rubber bits, airbox, chain. This bike gets more attention than anything else Iīve owned. You just donīt see them anymore, especially in stock trim.
1960 Moto Guzzi Lodola Sport

Photos: 4
Purchased: Apr 2004
Sold: Apr 2005
Info: The Guzzi Lodola Sport was a sport bike in itīs time. Mine is a 1960 model. These bikes did well in historic races like the Moto dīGiro, which you can find by searching Google.
1990 Honda CBR 1000 F

Photos: 2
Purchased: Apr 2004
Sold: Feb 2008
Info: " The CBR encompasses two almost mutually exclusive personalities. It spits out 111 horsepower at the rear wheel, yet it starts easily and motors around town with smooth, carlike civility. Thereīs little the CBR canīt do, and do very well. ...the CBR powerplant feels wonderful: smooth, refined, tight, and always willing, whether in town or on the superslab. ...unless you rev the engine har

Info: A true "barn find" with 735 original miles on it that had been sitting in a local garage over 30 years. Note this is a Velocette Viceroy, not a Valiant, but this site doesn''t have a "Viceroy" model that I could choose when posting.

See the 50 year old MV Agusta CSTL start on the 1st kick and idle quietly. Quite a task for such an old bike, really. :-)
