Information: The R50 is a 500cc boxer twin with an "Earles fork" front suspension, meaning that it has a front swing arm and two automotive style shocks up front. Mine is painted in a BMW color known as "Dover White". The bike is very fun to ride, and I recently did a 3 day 1000 mile vintage tour on it and was very comfortable, despite some of the roads being dirt. It cruises very comfortably around 65 to 70 MPH, and tops our around 90.
