Member Info: I keep changing the bikes and I have like some and not others but here is the list. I am doing a lot more mileage now as I am on the bike almost full time and I am doing euorpean trips which are great. We have done a tour around Ireland, a tour through wales and back, a tour through Wales, England, France and Belgium, a charity run to Paris and next we are doing a run up to Belfast around Scotland and back through Wales. These runs are always about 5-6 days long so there are a lot of miles per day. It is great.

1981 Honda CB 900

Purchased: Mar 2001
Info: Big tanky bike, It was fun to drive the occassional time I did ride it while my friend owned it. Hopefully I can fix it. Time will tell. Finally I am getting to work on rebuilding this along with the 1982 one I have as well. Not good I am afraid. I bought an engine that turned out to be dead, Seems there are crooks everywhere. Someday his time will come. This bike is still hanging on the wal

Purchased: Apr 2006
Info: A wonderful nike for city driving. Very fast and nimble. The handling is excellent but not for the faint hearted. Commit and it will reward. Since I have bought the 900 I will be doing this up for sale, I never sell a bad bike. I have put on new sprockets, chain, tyre, Viper Can & pipes. I will have it on the road in the next few weeks. Twill be a lucky buyer who picks it up.

Info: A diamond in the rough. This bike has an astounding acceleration and handling. I have been to France on a run and this bike is bullet proof. I fixed an oil leak when I bought it and got Givi Rack with custom built brace bar. If you like to tour and enjoy performance handling then this bike will delight. I still have it and do not intend to part with it for many years. If I need to put a smile on m

Purchased: Jan 2009
Info: I ended up buying one of these and was in two minds. I have short legs and it is a tall bike. Also it is a bit copy cat with emcg having one for the long way over etc. but it has grown on me. It is a very different driving style but so comfortable. I got all the luggage with it and it is great for carrying all the gear. The 1200 engine is very responsive and rewards with a lot of tourque but don''t

1989 Suzuki A 100

Purchased: Sep 1989
Sold: May 1994
Info: My first bike. It did excactly what it said on the tin. Top speed 60Mph (with a wind behind you, on a downhill). There was little or nothing to write home about. However as my first bike I was happy as Larry at the time. I learnt more about crashes or near crashes on that bike than any other.
1982 Honda Nighthawk 450

Purchased: Mar 1997
Sold: Oct 1997
Info: A new experience for me. I did not take to the raised handle bars. My arms hurt. It was fun to drive but not my cup of tea. I found the handling on corners to be sloppy compared to the TZR and it just didnīt suit me. Very comfortable seating for both rider an pillion, but that just isnīt what its about.
1993 Yamaha XJR 400

Purchased: Nov 1997
Sold: May 2000
Info: An absolutley excellent bike. It had ample power, even carry a pillion. You could throw it around corners, or in between traffic like a small bike. The riding position was very comfortable except on strong head winds as you were sitting quite upright and this would pull on your arms. It came with an extra wide back tyre which I think attributed to its beautiful riding.
1991 Suzuki GSX 750F

Purchased: May 2000
Sold: Oct 2004
Info: The bike ran beautifully until early 2002. The fork seals needed replacing and when this was completed, it showed up a kink in the left inner stantion. One day driving in the city I hit a bump the shock compressed and never released. After narrowly missing a wall when it bounced accross the road I drove it home (Very Slowly) and parked it until February 2003. I worked on it since then and have rep
1982 Honda CB 900

Purchased: Sep 2001
Info: Good fun to drive, while my friend had it. I bought another engine to replace the damaged one. I have not worked on it yet, It is stripped down to bare frame, I am just getting around to working on it. I was thinking of chopping one of the CB900īs but we shall see. This bike ended up getting scrapped when I had left it in a workshop that we were doing classes in. Never got it to run, a long an
1994 Yamaha TZR 125

Purchased: May 1994
Sold: Mar 1997
Info: A great step up from the Suzuki A-100 Special. A quick and good looking bike. Very slight compared to the later TZR 125īs but very responsive. If I were to say one thing is that in Irish cross winds this bike was quite light and coupled with its ability for speed, it did make it quite hairy at times. While the bike was quick it was not powerful and a pillion (even as slight framed as my girl) woul
1992 Honda VFR 750

Sold: Jan 2009
Info: A wonderful bike. I bought it off my buddy (in the photo) when the steering head bearings were going. I fixed them and relaced the Sprockets, chain, tyres etc. I also spent a bit of time sorting out the inner fairing as the bike had been crashed previously. Runs like a dream now. My buddy bought it back and now enjoys it.

1990 Honda CB-1 400

Info: A buddies bike. I used it for a while when mine was off the road. Excellent fun, very like the XJR, possibly a slightly lower riding position and not quite as throaty a sound. However the lower riding position (Be it factual or just a sense you get) led to excellent manuverabitily. In town this bike was a gem. Point A to point B as if it were a straight line... FAST.
