Info: Spent a long time searching the web and local papers and newsgroups before I found this beauty. This was the only year in which Yamaha produced the XV500. The bike is very quiet and rides smoothly. Unfortunatly it doesn''t quite have the power the old XS400 had, will be flipping this bike shortly.

Info: Sorry no project pictures here. Took me a long time to get motivated on this one. Was used mostly off road when I got it. Restored plastics to stock color, added custom turn signals, mirrors and grips. Modified carb, exhaust and upped front sprocket to 16 tooth. Painted engine, crankcase and muffler (high-heat enamel), also 10 coats on frame and grab bars.
