Information: I got hit by a car with my kymco super 9.
So after 1 month at the hospītal, I decided to buy another scooter, a yamaha jog 1997. It“s unbelievable how much space you have (for legs) on this scooter, even if the wheels are small! I bought it 550$CAN.
Drum brakes had to be replaced right away and the scooter had a topspeed of 40-50km/h only (fully derestricted!). Plastics were completely broken and painted with an ugly black (right over the original stickers!), ignition switch has been forced, taillight was holding with masking tape and the exhaust pipe sounded weird. I did a few smoke show and wheelie with this scooter since I didn“t care too much about it.
However, this winter (metallic grey scooter) I took apart the scooter to rebuild it. Rebuilt the plastics with fiberglass and repaint. Changed the engine for a 70cc, changed the crankshaft, carb, ignition switch, transmission, exhaust, etc.. almost everything. Before selling it, I put all the original part back, but replace de piston/rings. sold 500$ ****unfortunately, 2 days after the sales, the owner totaled the bike!! some people doesnt have respect for things!!!!!
