Keep a safe distance from the car in front/behind.
Watch out for dogs and children in built up areas as the impact could damage the fairing.
Be clairvoyant. Dont ride after a drink, especially over 130 mph. 20 years without an accident can´t be bad! |

1994 Kawasaki ZXR 750

Purchased: Jul 2003
Info: I bought this bike to improve my shoulder/neck muscles but it also happily increases physical pain thresholds and travels at the speed of thought. Apparantly, relativistic theory states that ´time´ slows down as our relative speed increases. I´m currently losing around 20 minutes a trip.

Purchased: Jul 1997
Sold: May 2003
Info: How I spent six years riding this "poor man´s Harley" I´ll never know. I never put a chain on it at night but it doggedly refused to be stolen. The Honda workmanship was great though, it ran like clockwork and bits never fell off it. Six years of following the car in front was enough though.

Purchased: Mar 1993
Sold: Jun 1997
Info: Four years, 80 000 miles and all with just an occasional oil change. Plus, the fairing was big enough to fit the shopping in (RS version). Rust gradually ate it away but the engine was fine.

Purchased: Feb 1986
Info: Upgraded Z250, twin cylinder, Belt drive. It snapped in Paris, where they´d never heard of it. Its been in pieces in my garage ever since. A good bike to take apart and put back together. I made the mistake of buying before trying, it was a despatch bike and had huge chunks missing from the clutch basket. I always needed a hill to jump start it, which was OK at the time, until I moved to the flatt

Info: A classic bike. Mono, 2 stroke, looked like a minature GS850, and real chrome on the mudguards. Had the power of an electric wheelchair and the suspension of an old bed, but when you are learning on it you feel like the king of the road. The lucky chap thats riding it now had better show her some respect, I treated her like royalty. It even had a "Queens Silver Jubilee" sticker on the ta
