Information: Basic info: -2-stroke 249cc liquid cooled reed valve induced, power valve assisted engine. -38mm Kehin PJ oval slide carburetor -Suspension: Oil fork 12" travel, Oil/Nitrogen Gas Shock with 12" travel -5 speed close ratio gear box -front/rear disk brake -Tyres: Front:21" Rear:18" My second Honda. I purchased it thinking the bottom end bearings where shot because the engine seems to nock, but when i checked the con rod there was zero play. any information as to what this chatter might be can be sent to my e-mail: funkinalive@hotmail.com Otherwise the bike is verry strong, with excellent response thanks to the kehin Pj oval slide carburetor. handling is nothing special, still has the old style oil-bottom forks that work well on a motocross track but are jittery in the woods. The rear shock is verry comfortable, with a super progressional (soft for first 1/3 of compression, hard at 3/4 to full compression) feel to it. just right for any type of riding. So far since the rebuild, I´ve taken it to one nasty hare scramble + 12 hours of home riding, and it still has 185psi compression and starts first kick. Plastics are quite elastic so they dont shatter. Only complaint is the poor design of the kick starter ring gear, and spring engagement mechanism. after time the ring gear doesnt move so freely and the spring doesnt have enough rate to fully engage the kick starter, resulting in slipping and grinding. Bottom line: A strong runner which is still fairly competitave. if i had the chance i would buy another one, just got to figure out what that engine chatter is all about and put a stronger spring in the kick starter.
