Information: 1997 TL1000S with high-rise yoshi´s, polished rims, Goodridge disks & hoses and the bottom fairing which really finishes these bikes off nicely. After spending too much time on the back wheel, the big-end bearing on the rear cylinder decided to die... Consequently, the motor received some loving attention: new crank, new Suzuki TL1000R factory racing conrods (50g lighter each), balanced the components, flowed the heads, modified the valve angles, machined the tops of the pistons, increased the compression, modified the airbox and changed the sprocket ratio´s. The result? Capable of giving a R1 a hard time on accleration and top-end. The figures? Now that would be telling..... Speak to TG from Tornado Services in Alrode, Johannesburg if you want something done - he knows his story - his bike won Battle of the Twins 1998 & 1999. Tel: 0027 11 9001781, tell him Derek from the UK sent you. Sold my pride and joy to John Aspinal in 2005 - something I thought I''d never do.....
