Information: This started life to me as the second owner in 8/2002. It was basically stock but with a 6" over front end, 21" front 40 spoke wheel and narrow tire and a slammed 11" rear with HARD Progressive 412 shocks. Yuck. What a bad idea. I have seen Democratic Party campaign promises that made more sense than that. I trailered it home and stripped that crap off before I ever rode it. I slowly modded it over the next two years with custom metal (the true Willie G. lowrider tank/dash and early style emblems, e.g.). Everything, except the swingarm, that can be chromed, is chromed. The motor is complete Stage IV with Wiseco hi-comp forged pistons, S.E. heads, a Mikuni HSR42 Carb, Andrews EV27 cam, Dyna 2000 digital ignition, single fire coils, etc. It has a Balance master primary, a Hayden tensioner in the primary chaincase, and a Balance master on the clutch. It also has a Spyke 1.4kW chrome starter to handle the engine mods. 80 spoke American Wire Wheels on each end with Avon Super Venom rubber. Since the front sliders are chrome, you canīt add a chrome brace. So I dropped it 1" to stiffen it with Fox shocks up front and Progressive 418īs in rear. Oh, that is NICE. I have run out of things to do to this bike. The observant viewer will also note the twin four piston calipers on this Evo. Highly recommended modification, in my book - especially once youīve modded the engine like this. This bike rides as smooth and fast as many sportbikes; frankly the sound and torque are on par with my "Wheelie King" Honda VTR. Did I mention it has removbable saddlebags and a T-Bag for the back rest and a removable windshield to take me cross country? This is the Harley equivalent of the F-18 Hornet Fighter/Bomber with the added comfort of business class on a British Airways 747. Yum. And did I mention itīs a chick magnet? Another neat thing is not even serious Harley guys can figure it out - I have had guesses runnning from a sporty with a tank kit, the used bike manager at a Harley Dealership actually guessed it was a Heritage (what a bad guess - notice those SHOCKS on the bike?). SO that´s kind a fun. Most think it´s an FXDL because of the tank, but it ain´t. If you went to your Harley dealer and built this baby it would be $28,000. I will entertain offers over $30k or I will ride this until I die. Or die on it; I donīt care because I am that happy riding it.
