Information: "Freedom," purchased August 4, 2004. "Freedom" died in the line-of-duty, February 19, 2007, following a rear end collision by an asshole driving a quadraped land barge. Fortunately I was not seriously hurt, but "Freedom''s" drive train was ruined. Finest sport touring machine of its vintage. Looks great, rides great, IS great. Cannot possibly articulate what a fine ride it is. Riders can groan on about the BMW Boxer motor''s lack of modern technology - well, all I have to say is most of the same "groaners" will wear out their bikes long before the 250,000 miles a BMW Oilhead is capable of, with proper maintenance.
