Information: My uncle purchased this bike to race in N/W NSW Australia in the year I was born. The bike pictured has done roughly 15-20 hours of work. The engine was rebuilt after a seizure and has only done about 10 hours - I´ve probably racked up 5 of thise 10. Undoubtedly the roughest ride in so many ways. Suspension was cosmetic only. Footpegs did not have springs holding them in place. NOt sure if this was deliberate or a result of the incredibel engine vibration. When the bike was idling, the pegs settled in an upright position.
Steering was incredibly light due to the almost 1.0m handlebars and all the weight at the back. If you zoom in, you may notice wire ties at the spoke intersections. The spokes are 1/4" dia and needed to be braced to stop the engine from snapping them. No inlet or exhaust valves = very narrow powerband. from roughly 3,000-6,000rpm, all you could do was hang on, but over or under these revs it is soft. This bike is still so original the grips, bars, cables, plastics and front tyre are all original. I did replace the aircleaner though. Interestingly the engine had an oil pump and mixed its own fuel - a luxury missing on most modern strokers
