Information: I bought this XJ1100 Maxim from a woman in California. She bought it new in 1982. She put 5,000 miles on it in about 3 years then parked it in a garage for almost two decades. After I bought it I put 5,000 miles on it in the first month. The XS11 and XJ11 are the best bikes Yamaha EVER built. They are big powerful 1100 cc air-cooled inline four cylinder engines with a shaft type drive...no steenkinī chain...no steenkinī radiator! This particular one is no exception being a great motorcycle. Iīve taken it on numerous long road trips and can easily stay in the saddle of this machine 12 hours per day ...day after day. It will cruise 90 mph all day long and has plenty of power and torque for two up touring. As an inline four this air cooled motor will obliterate the vast majority of air-cooled V-Twins on the road today. Itīs too bad Yamaha quit making the mighty XS Elevens. This bike is still in near mint condition. I have put 12,000 miles on it in the past year and never plan to sell it.
