Information: I purchaed this bike in 1991 from a dealer in Cairns, Qld. I put a few kms on the weekends with mainly touring around the Atherton Tablelands and I also enjoyed the odd early morning ride up to Port Douglas. I rode it then to Brisbane and ended up selling it for a deposit on a house. In October 2006 I purchased a new 2006 Suzuki DL650 V-Strom. The CBR was and still is an excellent sport / tourer and are good value for money. I did find that it was not economical for commuting due to tyres and servicing on the heavy in-line style bike. The full fairing is excellent and from the photos you can see the Gear Sack bags fitted well. Also the bike sits well on the road and there is even ample room and comfort for your passenger, a lot of more modern bikes in the "sport / tourer" class I have found virtually only enough room for skinny teenagers to sit on the back? Maybe in a few years when my kids are grown up I will get something like this again? Overall, again a great bike for touring and plenty of grunt!
