Info: Brought about ten years ago in deepest, darkest Wales. Spent 3 solid months getting it roadworthy for the 100th Isle of Man TT celebrations and had it acceptable within hours of the ferry leaving. Forks lost all their oil after 3 days and have since been rebuilt with stainless stanchions and progressive springs. Has since been over the Alps/Pyrenees and still handles fairly well loaded with gear.

Info: Brought as a reliable all rounder to get me to the 2011 Manx GP and allow me to concentrate on riding rather than fixing bikes. After checking everything was roadworthy and reconditioning the carbs, it eats up motorway miles or poodles around town effortlessly. Have fitted a centre stand to it (essential) and a proper rack (safer handhold for passengers). Often to be seen with camping equipment on

Info: Very good tourer but lets itself down in town compared to a lighter Duke. Sold it to a mate years ago I but still take it out for the odd blast. Now has a perspex screen fitted that improves the look. Inbuilt mirrors serve no real purpose and the dry clutch rattles from new but works well. Billed as the Italian VFR???- who makes these comparisons?!

Info: Brought on ebay and needed alot of work to get it roadworthy. A gear driven primary in the engine coupled with shaft drive means no play in the drive chain. The rear end needed some attention as the seat reminds me of a pair of bollocks. I tailered a GPZ750 seat and Hayabusa rear light to make it a bit more cafe racer like before some scum sucking maggot pinched it. Will get a GS1000 one day.

Info: My very first bike. Collected it from Cardiff with 10psi in the front tyre. Stayed that way for weeks as I thought that must be way big bikes must handle. 29psi helped me try to keep up with the CBR/FZRs my mates owned. Sprayed it black and added a ''dustbin'' fairing. Being a dispatch riders bike, the cams were worn to buggery and the engine eventually gave out coming back from the ''93 Kent Custom
