Member Info: Bike mad for the last 15 years or so. I´ve owned over 30 machines, some bought because I wanted to own them and others bought to tidy up and sell on as a hobby.

1979 Suzuki GS 550

Info: American import, single front disc version.A proper no frills solid and reliable bike, lots of roller bearings make for a bomb proof engine. A little over engineered and excess weight, but loads of fun as a cheap and cheerful commuter.
1987 Honda CBR 600

Info: First of the CBR600''s AKA "jellymould" What a little belter! Bought for £350 in a right state cosmetically, but very low seat height, leightweight and handled like a dream.
1980 Suzuki GSX 250

Info: The first true 100MPH 250. very revvy and leightweight 4 stroke twin.Ley down only by poor electrics(cured with Superdream items)
1986 Kawasaki GPZ 550

Info: Brilliant first "proper bike" 125+ mph. The usual Kawasaki clonk from the primary drive when cold. Can be ridden very fast, rear shock the only thing to let it down (yearly grease of the linkages solves that though)
1988 Suzuki GSX-R 750

Photos: 0
Info: Very "unstandard",chopped about frame,RGV250 seat unit,Micron can etc. Very fast but this particular one was far too uncomfortable to ride for any length of time.
1980 Honda CB 250

Photos: 0
Info: The old 250 Superdream,or "Superslug". Overweight and struggles to hit around 95mph. owned 4 of these, cheap and cheerful commuters over the years. Very easy to work on, cam chain rattle endemic to the breed! Outperformed by the GSX250 but much more reliable.
1995 Kawasaki Vulcan 750

Photos: 0
Info: Big heavy V twin custom, loads of torque(luverly) Very comfortable to ride but hit 100mph and it lifts your feet of the pegs! Rectifier mounted under the battery box and exposed to road salt and spray_stupid idea! Alternators known to be weak, and its an engine out job to get to it! Pillions love the comfort too.
1980 Kawasaki Z 250

Info: Great looking 250 twin, much better than a Superdream, but not as fast as a GSX250. Lovely "rorty" sound from the original twin exhausts. Top ends first to go.
