Information: One of the FIRST 900 Honda XL''s EVER Built. Be Careful when buying bikes on EBay. The seller misrepresented this one. A runner he said ... Technically I did hear it run. but not as far as around the block without extensive work. June 2007 update. Progress. I have updated photo''s if you CLICK THE BIKE. She runs good only up to 4000 RPM. Still working on it. Bought 2 carbs, tuned over and over. JULY 2007 Update. I heard too much cam chain noise. Tore the engine down. I found out why she would not tune. Some moron had BOTH cam chain tensioners installed wrong. Feb 2008 Update. After I got the old XL250 running..It flat out lost spark. Bought points, condenser, coil, plug, then traded in on a newer bike. I asked the new owner, a mechanic for a courtesy call when he got it running. Chris called to say he found a broken Crankshaft woodruff key. Cost under one dollar. That threw off the timing. March 2008 Update the mechanic sold it for $500. after he got it running. Someday I may regret buying it back.
