i started riding when i was 13 years old, and have been riding off and on ever since. funny thing about bikes; once they get in your blood you canīt give them up. i thought i was gonna get out of them at one point in time, but couldnīt stand not having a bike, so thatīs when i bought my 86 yz 490 and started riding again. iīve always thought that riding was the closest thing you could ever get to flying without leaving the ground; thereīs nothing in the world quite like it!!! |

Info: This is my seventh bike; I had to get another one since I liked my first one so much! This is the first year that Yamaha came out with the wide ratio version of the motocrosser; it has a heavier flywheel to give it more torque, lower first gear, taller fourth and fifth gears, and a lighting coil capable of supporting eighty-watt aftermarket lights. The obvious differences are the blue and white co

Info: this is my eighth bike, and also my first sport bike. so far, it´s very reliable and handles great and makes pretty decent power as well. not to mention is pleasing to the eyes as far as the looks go!

Sold: Mar 2003
Info: this was my sixth bike; nice, quick bike and was reliable after i put a smaller main jet in it. before i did that, i couldn´t keep plugs from fouling no matter how hard i beat it. it had great suspension and was very nimble, and the engine response was great! i also stupidly got rid of this one.

Info: this was my second bike; very reliable, but the suspension couldn´t handle what i gave it to deal with, and it was pretty whipped by the time i got rid of it. but i definitly got my money´s worth out of it, as i only paid 200 bucks for it, and put the thing through hell!!!

Info: this was my third bike; very strobg running bike and was reliable as long as you shut the gas off every time you quit riding it for the day, otherwise the plug would foul out the next time it was started. the only other problem i had with the bike was that it liked to vibrate itself apart, so nuts and bolts had to watched fairly often.

Info: this was my fourth bike, and was my favorite one as well. i bought it off the local legend in my area, who had done work to the motor. he had ported and polished the cylinder, bored and polished the carb and put an fmf gold series pipe on it. the thing would move, to say the least! he was clocked at 120mph and also had the #1 plate for NY state flat tracker with it. i had the bike for 6 years and

Info: this was my fifth bike, also was very strong running. the good thing about the big bore bikes is that they had enough torque to go up anything you point them at; although going down the things you point them at is a different story. but it was a very stable bike, and if you can handle the power, it was a very confidence-inspiring motorcycle.

Info: this was my first bike; i bought it off my cousin for 30 bucks. it needed the sparkplug hole rethreaded, and the kickstarter was missing, so i had to pop start it. after i got itfixed, i rode that thing all over the place; it was a great starter bike!
