Information: I´ve purchased my Thruxton last year due to my enthusiasm for Café Racers and I reckon the bike makes a decent base for a custom made Racer. As my financial background is quite limited I´ve started to modify the bike according to basic riding properties (i.e. suspension, tyres etc.)
I had my suspension modified at Wilbers in Germany - the fork internals were replaced with progressive springs; damping properties developed by replacing damping valves and having better fork oil applied. The rear shocks are tailor made - classic base with adjustable preload, rebound damping and height adjustment.
The bike´s appearance is slightly modified by replacing OE side covers and front fender with carbon-fibre parts just as having some aluminium parts painted rough-black.
Handlebars, mushrooms and a few other parts are from LSL Germany.
Planning to have the engine modified as well - Wiseco piston kit and so on, but it takes time and money... so I leave it for next winter.
