Photo Info: So this is my Virago maybe just a week in my possesion. The Following fotos document just a few of the changes and adjustments made. Think the shocks on this particular shot are honda rebel shocks, at any rate, she''s far more beat up now 3.25 yrs later after daily use. I gave up my car just a few months after I got her. Earlier this week I had an accident due to several things, mostly my fault. I followed too closely behind a car that didn''t signal the turn they were taking and my brakes and rotor are badly in need of replacing. Fortunately I wear a nolan helmet that protected my face from serious damage, it was very low speed, probably no more than 15 mph. I left my gloves in the dryer so my hands are scraped and bruised. If I''d been wearing proper boots my left foot might not be in the shape it is. As for now, I''m signed up for a private experienced rider course and my Virago is taking a short break while I replace my smashed left signal, readjust my handle bars, replace my brakes and rotor. Overall I have to say I''m pretty damned lucky, for many things. I plan on taking this event as a lesson and reminder to use all the defensive skills I''d learned, always check my equipment, be dressed to ride safe. Ride safe everyone! |
