Photo Info: CBR loaded for my trip to West Texas with 6 other buddies. The CBR held its own as the 2nd fastest bike on this trip. I got her flying up to 160mph and still had some left to go. I took several nice sweepers and several S transistions with her at 120-130 mph and she handled it very very well. These bikes are definately heavy compared to newer bikes, but so stable and confidence inspiring its crazy. I definately wouldn''t recommend it for a beginner, but for an experienced rider that not only likes to sport ride, but also likes to Riiiide, this bike does it all. Over 5 days we did 2k miles, and the CBR returned approx 46 mpg even at high speeds!! Incredible!! I was getting between 190 - 210 miles per tank of gas. I was out of the hospital 8 months when I took this trip. The bike is looking better and better too. She''s almost completely done in this pic. |
