Photo Info: 1985 HONDA XR100R PRO-LINK w/XL80S Engine
Cosmetically challanged but safe and ready to ride except it sat too long and now it wont idle well, I would take care of it by cleaning the carb but Im recovering from some injuries and just selling to help my recovery. I did not crash this bike.
it has a fresh +.040" bore cylinder, new wiseco piston and rings, valve job and seals, new timing chain and sprocket, new ignition points and spark plug, runs strong, shifts great, no smoke or leaks anywhere.
its complete, clean, and very good trainer or learner bike for sure with the XL80 engine. it doesnt accellerate as quickly as a 100 and has one less gear to change (4 speed) but now the top speed is slightly faster than a stock 100 due to the street-use gearing that this XL80S has. the carburetor is now an XR80R carb which was better than the XL carb but a 100 carb would pick it up even more.
needs nothing to ride it now but it could use a new rear tire unless you ride flattrack, thats what I was using it for.
