Information: Bought this motorcycle in 1998, from Riverside Honda, with about 35,000 kilometers. I traded in my 1997 Suzuki TL1000S and $500.00 cash. Besides having one valve adjustment/ service done, I have done oil changes and other filters on my own. It is time for a tune-up now, due to the mileage, not because it is running the least bit bad. This has been a very very reliable motorcycle. Never had to replace any parts, really. I haven''t even put a signal light bulb in the thing! Headlight bulbs, yes. The suspension is ready to be refreshed as well. But is isn''t something real bad, but it is time. It runs the same now as it did when I bought it. Very good motorcycle. It has those nice big saddlebags that can hold 2 or 3 grocery bags per side, easy. Or a full face helmet and a leather coat. Also has swing out bungee cord hooks under the seat. I''d recommend this bike or an ST1300 to anyone. Though I heart that long distance riders prefer the ST1100!
After 18 years, I sold the mighty ST1100! Was hard to watch her go. Served me very very well. Never failed to start, no breakdowns, ever. Uber reliable.
