A lot of people are aware of the Yamaha LT3MX of 1973. Few knew that the bike was first built in '72 and labeled the LT2M. Only 4,330 were ever manufactured and like the LT3MX they were the class dominant bike. Using both pre mix as well as oil injection the Motocross 100s used AT1/CT1 transmission gearing, larger carburetor and air box. Of course an expansion chamber is needed to expel the extra spent gas. The LTM also uses the complete front end off the 125s and 175s of previous years. Candy Green was the color for 72.
