And if I hit the lottery some carbon fiber rims LOL!! I know I could just sell it and buy a ZX10-R but I've come this far with it and.I think thr.Ninja 1000 can be a really fun track bike. It doesn't have the pull your arms out of their sockets pull of a 1 Liter sportbike but it does have alot of torque, midrange and can be tuned up to 146 HP so it is definitely no slouch. I've run the quarter in 10.38 secs. @ 132 mph without a full header exhaust so I will keep chipping away at the weight. It started off at 505 lbs and I have it down to 467 so I need to lop off 7 more lbs and I will be in the ballpark. Anyway it's a fun project and I could return it to its original showroom condition if need be in a weekend. I have all the oem parts safely stored away. I even have luggage for a sport touring mode. This bike is versatile if you have deep pockets Lol. I suppose all bikes are in that regard. I will be at Buttonwillow raceway on 3/29/2014 for a trackday. I will find out soon enough if it can hang with the more track oriented bikes. I plan to let it rip so I will know by the end of the day.
